Barcelona itinerary – Europe cityhopping Day 1

48 hour Hola Barcelona card


8:40 AM – 9 AM: Travel from Placa del Centre to Liceu (metro L3) for La Boqueria food market

9 AM – 10 AM: Breakfast, fruit juices & a stroll through the awesome food market.

10 AM – 10:10 AM: Travel from Liceu to Barceloneta beach (bus 59, stop Pg Marítim – Almirall Cervera).

10:10 AM – 11:40 AMChill out at the beach.

11:40 AM – 12:15 PM: Walk to lunch restaurant Can Mano (the walk is very short, we had to walk about the neighbourhood and visit the nice but small Barceloneta market (much cheaper than La Boqueria for Jamon of some types)

12:15 PM – 1:45 PM: A slow-paced seafood lunch with a great spread. 12:15 is when the restaurant opens and the was a small crowd waiting by the time we left so get here early for an efficient meal experience.

1:45 PM – 2:30 PM: Travel from Can Mano to Sagrada Familia (metro L4 change to L2).

2:30 PM – 3:15 PM: Take pictures and chill out at the park just across Sagrada Familia.

3:15 PM – 5 PM: See Sagrada Familia using a prebooked ticket (3:30 PM timeslot).

5 PM – 5:20 PM: Travel from Sagrada Familia to Arc de Triompf (metro L2 change to L1).

5:20 – 5:40 PM: Walk around near Arc de Triompf, take pics

5:40 PM – 6:00 PM: Travel from Arc de Triompf to Cereria Subira (a must visit candle shop in the Gothic quarter, metro L1 change to L4).

6:00 PM – 6:20 PM: Candle shopping

6:20 PM – 7 PM: Travel from Cereria Subira to Xiringuito Escriba for dinner (metro L4, change to bus 59/V27, walk 10 minutes).

7 PM – late: Enjoy Paella, wine & the seaside from the stunning location.
